Michael Steele who was a former Lt. Gov. was elected Friday the first black chairman of the Republican National Committee.
Michael S. Steele was a Lieutenant Governor of Maryland for five years.
He is currently a partner in the international law firm of Dewey & LeBoeuf in Washington D.C.source
